The story behind Arizona Muse’s name starts with the arid beauty of the Sonoran Desert. “My mother is English and was really impressed by the landscape when she moved out there with my father,” says the model who was born in Tucson, Arizona and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. During the spring collections, Muse was the runaway star of the season, scooping up opening and closing spotlights at Prada—and landing a leading role in the brand’s new campaign to boot.
As the 22-year-old tells it, Ms. Prada is not only kind and elegant, but she also has the most amazing legs. “They’re stunning, and I told her so!”
Muse says, laughing. As the mother of a twenty-month-old, Muse keeps her gams in shape running around with her son, Nikko, whom she took with her to Paris this fall.
“He is flourishing and blossoming as a little boy,” she says, “and as a mom, I am too.”
